QLD Interpreters: For On Call assignments, please ensure signed On Call Assignment Completion Sheet are emailed to pays@nabs.org.au. They must be legible and all fields are filled in accurately.

Notifying Claimable Expenses 

Submission of Interpreter Claimable Expenses Form is required for all claimable expenses.

Mandatory NDIS Worker Screening Clearance 

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is mandatory for all Wesley Mission Queensland staff (existing and new).

Mandatory NDIS Worker Orientation Module Training

The training takes approximately 90 minutes and can be found at this link:

Once completed, please forward a copy of your Certificate of Completion to communications@nabs.org.au

 

Vaccination  

COVID-19 vaccination is required for face to face assignments. To assist NABS/NICSS, if you have had your COVID-19 vaccine, please send a copy of evidence to communications@nabs.org.au for noting.  Interpreters should always carry evidence with them.

Where can I find my immunisation history statement?   A person can obtain their immunisation history statement from the Australian Government  using myGov, the Medicare mobile app or by calling the Australian Immunisation Register and requesting a statement to be posted. Where there is Individual Health Identifier (IHI) shown on your statement, please ensure this is redacted before sending to communications@nabs.org.au 

 

Update for QLD interpreters 22/11/2021

Under the "Workers in a healthcare setting (COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements) Direction" published 10 November 2021 and any subsequent replacement Directions, after 15 December 2021, it is mandatory any Interpreter in QLD that enters, works in or provides services has received the prescribed number of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, or meets the conditions for an exception under the Direction. Proof of the vaccination status will be required to present to the Employer. 

 

Mandatory for working with children

While it is not compulsory in all States and Territories to hold a Working with Children Check or equivalent, it is recommended that interpreters obtain one.

Please email communications@nabs.org.au to advise if you hold a current Working with Children Check. The relevant registration is required for assignments with persons under 18 years.

 

NAATI Certification

Each time you renew your Certification, please send updated Certificate to communications@nabs.org.au

If you require a work history letter for recertification/revalidation, NABS can provide this on request.
