Under the "Workers in a healthcare setting (COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements) Direction" published 10 November 2021 and any subsequent replacement Directions, after 15 December 2021, it is mandatory any Interpreter in QLD that enters, works in or provides services has received the prescribed number of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, or meets the conditions for an exception under the Direction. Proof of the vaccination status will be required to present to the Employer.
While it is not compulsory in all States and Territories to hold a Working with Children Check or equivalent, it is recommended that interpreters obtain one.
