Important information about NABS after 30 June 2024

Information for NDIS clients who book interpreters through NABS.
 

 


We want to let you know that Wesley Mission Queensland will stop providing NDIS interpreting services from 30 June 2024.  

The decision to close the NABS service means that you will have to choose another interpreter service to book interpreters for your NDIS funded appointments. You can find a service provider from DeafNav. Below is important information about bookings: 
 

Bookings up until 30 June 2024 

You can continue to book an interpreter through NABS for any appointment up until 30 June 2024.   
 

Bookings after 30 June 2024 

You will need to contact another interpreter service to book an interpreter.  
 

Bookings after 30 June 2024 where NABS have already booked an interpreter 

If NABS have booked you an interpreter for an appointment after 30 June 2024, then we will send a SMS to advise you that we have cancelled the interpreter and remind you to book an interpreter through another service. 

 

The team at NABS have enjoyed booking interpreters for you over many years. We are grateful to our staff and interpreters for assisting the Deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing community and will be supporting our team through these changes.
